Already on October 30 the new team will be taking off with a clear statement: The single ‘The President’ is released only a few days before a fateful election in the USA and it once again sharpens the eye for the urgency of standing up against developments that are no longer just alarming but drawing an unmistakeable picture of the abyss we’re heading towards.
ANCHORS & HEARTS originating from the middle of nowhere between Hamburg and Bremen in Germany are anything but new to the scene. In fact, since the foundation in 2013 they released three albums already. Especially with the last album, the band spent a lot time on the road: Supports for THE USED, CRAZY TOWN, IGNITE or CALIDBAN, shows at Dreichbrand, Hurricane as well as Rock am Ring. On top of that, a successful double-headliner tour with WATCH OUT STAMPEDE. “We enjoyed every single concert and our minds were just fixed on the show. When Corona tried to pull the plug, we didn’t feel like slowing down – not at all!” For ANCHORS & HEARTS the involuntary break from playing live worked as a catalyser for new material. “The song-writing worked better than ever before. After only six weeks we were done with everything. The songs are all cut from one cloth, that had never happened before”, the singer is enthusiastically reporting.
For the experienced band the coalition with Redfield Records for the fourth long player, is a career highlight nonetheless, while the label has always been one of the anchors not only in the German scene and therefore a desirable goal: “We have been following the label since the beginnings and been celebrating many of the bands coming out there. To now be a part of the Redfield Family, is a huge honour for us.”
